CDF places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate CDF’s commitment to the privacy of our website users and members. This policy explains what types of information we collect from you when you use our website or enroll for our workshops.

What data do we collect?
CDF collects some of your personal information like name, email address and phone number in order to respond to your queries or send you material that you have shown interest for.
How we collect your data?
You directly provide CDF with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:
- Register on our website or enrol for our workshops
- Reach out to us using the contact form
- Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our social media pages or via email
- Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies
How we use your data?
We use the information we collect from you for specific, limited purposes. If you do not wish to receive our messages, you may always “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future. Doing so will cease all communications from us.
CDF collects your data so that we can:
- Send you email alerts and newsletters, or inform you about our upcoming workshops and activities
- Provide you with services
- Notify you about changes to our services and/or products
- Provide customer support
- Answer your queries and requests
- Address your complaints
- To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our services
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
- We may also use your information to track which of our website features are the most popular so we can better serve your needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
Our CRM service is from a third-party named HubSpot. The data is stored and processed at their end to provide us with analytics, so that we can improve our services to you.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Cookies
Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. When you visit our website, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology.
How we use cookies
CDF uses “cookies” to help provide better services. They remind us who you are and your preferences for our website based on what you’ve done and told us before. The “cookie” is placed in your computer and is read when you come back to our website.
CDF uses these cookies to :
- Collect information about your visit to our website, the content you viewed, the links you followed, and information about your browser, device, and your IP address
- Keeping you signed in
How to manage cookies
You can opt out of or manage ‘marketing’ and ‘technical’ cookies through the cookie-consent pop-up offered when you visit our website at any time. However, in a few cases, some of our website features may not function as a result. The ‘necessary’ cookies are needed for the basic functioning of the website.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
